Fountain of Life
September 15, 2019Renovation of the School
Our school is very close to our hearts. Situated on a hill with a 180-degree view of the blue azure ocean and just across the Lokobe National Park where rare and very unique wildlife, especially lemurs, can be seen. We care a lot for this school because it has been our passion to inspire students to retain their eagerness and love of learning, and for teacher’s positive influence to remain on the student’s lifetime.
Over the past few months, due to these unprecedented times, our school has gone through a full rehabilitation to be fully prepared to welcome our first batch of students. Every detail has been taken care so that the students and our staff will be able to spend a peaceful and concentrated time to immerse themselves completely in the program.
We want our school to prepare students for a life beyond school, where they will be able to imagine and reflect the contemporary workplace of the tourism and hospitality sector. We also want the students to develop collaboration and peer-to-peer learning inside and outside our classrooms and school premises, ensuring that they get more inspired and motivated to work hard for their future and the future of their families. By installing new technology systems, we want our students to embrace modern technology and achieve new ways of learning – these can be with the use of digital learning aids, role-playing and collaborative learning. Our open-air classrooms provide natural light and fresh air to the students, increasing their concentration, focus and attention to the lesson because the surrounding is as peaceful as required. We will focus on enhancing the learning environment of our students to build their confidence and self-esteem making sure that they will gain enough and sufficient knowledge to conquer the world when they graduate from our school.
The school is fully renovated and beautifully done! We can't wait for the students and staff to get into our campus soon!
Thank you to the whole Wings of Change community who were patient and supportive during these renovation times of planning and reconstruction. This will surely add value to the Wings of Change hotel school by providing the young people of Nosy Be an inspiring space to learn their vocational training and grow in their professional goals.
