This month, Femme et Carrière initiates Breast Cancer Awareness in Nosy Be, Madagascar.

Every week, our group of women are learning more and more about this issue expanding worldwide.

On October 18, our members of Femme et Carrière went door to door to sit and inform each and every woman in the village of Ambatozavavy about the breast cancer awareness. They distributed the pink ribbon and explained them in detail.

On October 19, 2022, an informative gathering took place in our campus via Zoom between Dr. Kayanne Mheidly MD, MSc, and Afsana Amarsy, Founder and CEO of, and the village women.

Dressed in pink and pinned with the famed breast cancer awareness ribbon, Village women in Ambatozavavy, Nosy Be sat in a virtual medial call hosted by Femme et Carrière to engage local women about the importance of breast cancer prevention, detection, and healthcare. This is the first time ever that local women have had the opportunity to learn and to speak openly about breast cancer. In an all-women call, Dr. Kayanne Mheidly shared breast cancer information and taught women self-care in self-examination.

The call was hosted in French with simultaneous translation into the local language. The women were invited to ask questions and many of them came up with very interesting questions proving that they were very much following the subject.

During the call, Dr. Kayanne Mheidly, Afsana Amarsy, and the village women shared personal stories and experiences in a scientific, open, and confidential conversation about breast cancer.

Femme et Carrière is moving forward to provide more attention and information to the women in the Village and will be completing with a phenomenal informative month of October 2022!
